"The Pink Lady of the Grove Park Inn" for crosscresent's Now They Are Ghosts tracker, October 5, 2015


The tracker was a particularly fun one: you chose a local ghost story to depict.  I chose a local hotel (the Grove Park Inn), and its lady guest who never left.  She's a friendly ghost, who usually appears in person only to comfort children.  She's reported to be a pretty young lady in formal attire (pink, of course) from the 20's.  

Image carved on OZ cut.  I painted a pink-and-red wash on Arches hot-press watercolor paper, then dabbed it with textured paper towels before it was dry for texture.  I stamped the image with versa fine ink.  Added shading with watercolor and highlights with Higgins white ink.   Each dress has a different pattern.

The tracker fell though, but all my cards were returned to me.  Front and back side:

Deep Sea Anglerfish

"Deep Sea Anglerfish" for SeerMeesh's Things That Glow tracker, October 1st, 2015.

Image carved on OZ cut. Stamped and watercolored on Canson sketch paper, the cut out and mounted on textured card stock.  Added teeth and 'lure' with white Higgins ink. Added several layers of glow paint to the eyes, fins, and lure.

This is a "spoiler" blog of the ATC's I've made.  I really only participate in trackers on Atlasquest, because it's a community of stamp carvers.  I'd rather get an index card stamped with someone's original art than a card made entirely out of items from the scrapbooking isle.

Image carved on OZ cut.  Stamped on kraft paper with Memento ink, and cut out.  Then I attached it to the textured black card stock with double-sided tape and added embellishments with gold and silver paint pen.
